A few years ago, we successfully completed a full electrical installation for a newly developed L-shaped office space. The project was a large-scale package, designed to deliver a modern, compliant, and future-ready electrical infrastructure across the entire building.
Scope of Works
Main Supply & Distribution: Installed new panel boards and distribution boards, complete with metering, earthing, and surge protection to BS7671 standards.
Small Power: Fitted perimeter dado trunking, floor sockets, and wall outlets to serve offices, meeting rooms, training spaces, and breakout areas.
Data & Comms: Delivered a full structured cabling installation, including Cat6 outlets, Wi-Fi access points, fibre backbone cabling, and a 42U comms cabinet with patch panels, cable management, and full Fluke testing.
Lighting & Emergency Lighting: Installed energy-efficient modular LED lighting, presence detection, emergency lighting, and test facilities, ensuring compliance and safety.
External & EV Infrastructure: Carried out external street lighting connections and installed supplies for six EV charging points.
Mechanical Supplies: Provided electrical connections for HVAC systems, water heating, panel heaters, hand dryers, and fire alarm supplies.
Attention to Detail
Containment systems including basket, tray, and ladder were installed throughout, ensuring all cabling was neatly managed. Additional works such as disabled toilet alarms and surge protection added resilience and accessibility to the installation.
Results
The project was delivered to programme and budget, transforming the office into a fully serviced, safe, and modern workspace. With full certification provided, the site is now equipped with reliable electrical infrastructure, efficient lighting, EV charging, and robust data connectivity to support its long-term operation.
