Paxton10 Access Control Upgrade with Ongoing Maintenance

What we did.

We recently completed a successful access control upgrade across a multi-building residential complex, replacing an outdated standalone system with a modern Paxton10 solution. The new system gives site management full control from a central platform, with the flexibility to add or remove users instantly and securely.

What we did.

Scope of Works

  • Installed a Paxton10 server capable of managing up to 1000 doors.

  • Fitted new door controllers, proximity keypads, monitored magnets, exit buttons, and emergency break glass units to multiple entrances.

  • Integrated battery-backed power supplies for system resilience.

  • Upgraded access to bike stores, residents’ lounges, and all key entrances.

  • Extended access control to an external vehicle barrier, providing keypad entry linked to the same central platform.

Smart Credentials
As well as traditional key fobs, the system supports mobile access through the Paxton Key app. This allows residents and staff to use smartphones, smartwatches, or tablets as secure digital credentials, making access more convenient and future-ready.

Commissioning and Training
The project included commissioning of all devices, full testing, and staff training to ensure the system is simple to manage day-to-day. Handover documentation and online guidance were also provided.

Ongoing Support
As part of the project, we’ve agreed an ongoing maintenance package. This ensures the system will be kept up-to-date, tested regularly, and supported with any required adjustments as the site’s needs evolve.

Results
The site now benefits from a modern, scalable, and reliable access control solution. It’s improved security, reduced administrative overhead, and provided residents with a simple and secure way to access their buildings and shared facilities.
